Video Making
CONTENT – The videos work best when taking the place of a short lesson that needs teacher explanation. Because, as language teachers, we know memorization tricks or simplifying tips, we want to get those across to the student upon first look. The videos let us do that.
BREVITY – Make notes for yourself before recording, and you can read straight from the text when recording. This prevents excessive talking and keeps your videos focused.
CLARITY – Make your sentences simple and precise.
AUDIO & VISUAL FEEDBACK – Use video’s ability to convey sight and sound at the same time for most effectiveness.
GENERAL PRODUCTION – Make sure you’re in a well-lit area, that you speak loudly and clearly, and that you’re in the line of sight of the video camera. Be sure to have large, clear text, too.
REVIEW –Watch your video before posting to check for errors.
